BSK Fashion Bags is an international manufacturer and trading company specializing in luggage, handbags, and accessories. Founded in 2008 by two entrepreneurs with a global vision, the company evolved from a Guangzhou-based trading firm into a vertically integrated production and sourcing powerhouse. Today, BSK operates across four countries (China, Myanmar, Hong Kong, and the Netherlands), employs over 1,200 people, and reaches an annual turnover exceeding $30 million USD.
BSK offers both OEM services and private-label manufacturing, emphasizing high customization, competitive pricing, and scale. With over 3 million bags produced annually, the company services global fashion and retail clients with on-demand product development and fast-moving operations. ERP hosting is managed via Odoo Enterprise (self-hosted).
Challenges Faced
Prior to the implementation, BSK ran its operations on a combination of Excel spreadsheets and standalone design software for pattern creation, leading to serious bottlenecks in scaling and collaboration:
- No centralized system: Sales, purchasing, inventory, shipping, and finance were disconnected, spreadsheet-based processes.
- Heavy product variability: The company produces thousands of new SKUs each year, often with no repeat orders, which makes traditional product master management ineffective.
- Disjointed production chain: Multiple countries involved in the workflow (China, Myanmar, Netherlands) with no unified view of operations.
- Lack of costing visibility: Manual cost estimation was slow, error-prone, and relied heavily on experienced staff.
- Limited accounting control: Financials were not consolidated, causing delays in reporting and compliance.
Odoo Implementation
BSK partnered with us to implement a tailored Odoo Enterprise solution, addressing both operational and strategic gaps:
- Core Modules: Sales, Purchase, Inventory (WMS), Accounting, Studio (custom fields and workflows), POS (for retail).
- Multi-Company Setup: Enabled seamless operation across four legal entities (China, Myanmar, HK, Netherlands).

Custom PLM Process: We developed a bespoke Product Lifecycle Management flow for on-demand product design:
- Products begin as design requests with initial costing calculators.
- BOMs are generated from integrated design software exports.
- Internal product codes and attachments are managed inside Odoo.
- Engineering Integration: A bridge between their paper pattern design tool and Odoo reduces manual input and accelerates product onboarding.

E-commerce and Logistics Integration:
- Connection to 3 online stores.
- API integration with a logistics provider in the Netherlands for warehouse operations.
- Synchronization of order data and shipping updates directly in Odoo.
Hosting was deployed on-premise with dedicated infrastructure to support internal teams and high transaction volumes.
