Company Profile
Seismo Group is a packaging design and manufacturing company founded in 1993 in Turku, Finland, with its global headquarters today in Dongguan, China. They specialize in high-quality, eco-friendly paper and wooden gift boxes (e.g. commemorative coin boxes, luxury cosmetics packaging), combining Western design concepts with Eastern cultural motifs and Chinese manufacturing capacity. With over 50 R&D and technical staff and 1,000+ customers worldwide, Seismo holds dozens of graphic and structure design patents and offers end-to-end OEM/ODM services, recyclability assurance, and 24/7 support seismogroup.com.
Challenges Faced
- Disconnected systems: Sales leads, orders, purchasing and inventory were each managed in separate spreadsheets or legacy tools, leading to frequent data errors and delays.
- Manual sourcing workflows: Requesting quotes from suppliers, comparing offers and generating POs was a time-consuming, error-prone process.
- Limited financial visibility: Accounting entries were created after the fact, making real-time cash-flow and profitability tracking impossible.
Odoo Implementation
- Core apps deployed: CRM → Sales → Purchase → Inventory → Accounting
- Custom sourcing process: Entirely built in Odoo Studio—encompassing RFQ creation, automated supplier‐comparison matrix, and one-click PO generation.
- Integration: Real-time stock updates drive PO suggestions; validated sales orders automatically create draft invoices and accounting entries.
- Deployment: On-premise Odoo v17 instance, fully customized via Studio (no external modules).
