Odoo 19.4 Is Here: What's New Across AI, Inventory and Point of Sale

Odoo has released 19.4, a set of functional enhancements for the Odoo 19 platform. It is not a new major version — it is a maintenance-and-feature release that adds improvements across AI, Inventory, Point of Sale, Accounting, CRM and Manufacturing. On Odoo Online, the update rolls out automatically to cloud databases. On Odoo.sh and on-premise deployments, administrators or implementation partners apply it through their own upgrade process. Here is what the release actually changes, by area.

AI

Odoo 19.4 extends the built-in Odoo AI assistant with four concrete additions:

  • Automatic AI model selection — you choose your preferred AI provider, and Odoo picks the appropriate model for each task automatically.
  • Interactive live chat cards — when an AI agent references a supported record in live chat, it now shows a rich, clickable card instead of a plain record name.
  • 30-day conversation memory — conversations with AI agents are retained for up to 30 days after the last message, so a multi-step task can be picked up where it was left.
  • Hands-free voice interaction — staff can now dictate requests to Odoo AI by voice, letting the system act on spoken instructions and return information without typing.

Inventory

  • Improved stock allocation — teams can allocate stock directly from the forecast report, with a redesigned allocation workflow and report.
  • Purchase references on receipts — the vendor purchase reference now appears directly on the warehouse receipt, so staff can identify an incoming delivery without opening the purchase order.
  • Historical inventory snapshots — a new date-and-time selector lets you view stock as it stood at a specific moment while keeping your filters, which helps with audits and discrepancy checks.
  • Transfer notifications and packaging barcode management — users can subscribe to transfer status updates, and product packaging barcodes can be managed directly from the product form.

Point of Sale

  • Smarter printer management — configure multiple printers and assign different print jobs to each, useful for stores with several stations.
  • Automated service fees — add configurable service-fee presets to POS and self-order transactions, shown on the invoice.
  • Simplified receipts — print shorter receipts that highlight subtotals and taxes and drop unnecessary detail.
  • Digital self-ordering receipts — customers using self-order can receive receipts via WhatsApp or SMS.

How to get it

If you run Odoo Online, 19.4 reaches your database automatically as part of the managed cloud rollout. If you are on Odoo.sh or on-premise, the upgrade is applied on your own schedule, including testing before it goes live — the step where an implementation partner is usually involved.
